Florence, Italy

We arrived in Florence late Sunday night, just in time to see a drunk man fall on the sidewalk, unable to stand back up. After asking him to empty his pockets so we could get any clues as to who to call or where to walk him, we ended up having some locals call the ambulance because there were no hints as to where to take him. So the trip started out a little adventurous...
The city is divided by rivers, the pictures obviously don't do justice of its beauty.
It's kind of far away and dark, but that bridge is lined with buildings.
The world championship bike race was in Florence when we were there. The streets were blocked off and there was always a motorcycle ahead clearing the way...
...followed by the cyclist and his coach yelling out of the car through a megaphone with an extra bike on top.
[A replica of] the famous statue of David.
Wouldn't mind having this bicycle, not going to lie.
Beautiful plaza!
Failed attempt at a jump picture.
Found a little bit of Wisconsin in Italy.
The biggest flipping church ever... It would probably take a full 8 minutes to walk all the way around.
We stopped for dinner at an [obviously] Italian restaurant. After the waiter gave us free wine to try making his girlfriend jealous, he ended up giving us the entire meal for free. Definitely wasn't going to complain!
Gelato #5: Snickers maybe, don't really remember, but I promise it was delicious.
We went to a little Irish Pub, which ended up being super fun. I actually met a girl from Wisconsin. The entire ceiling was filled with college t-shirts. Just another hint of Wisconsin in Florence. :)
Florence was also a beautiful town, but coming down with a sore throat and exhaustion from being sick, I ended up napping the afternoon away and didn't get to see as much of Florence as I would have liked to, but I knew that if I didn't rest up, I'd get more sick. We left with another ride share early Tuesday morning for Venice!
